In the morning it offers a quiet paradise, but from 11:00am onwards the beach quickly fills up with tourists, losing its atmosphere.
Limassol immediately captures your attention with its combination of history and modern atmosphere. Limassol, the second largest city in Cyprus, is located on the southern coast and has a rich history that dates back to ancient times.
The Monastery of Saint Neophyte the Closed is one of the most important spiritual sites in Cyprus. This monastery is unique in that it was founded in the 12th century by the hermit Saint Neophytos himself, who lived in a remote cave carved out of the rock, now known as Enkleistra.
Governor beach is reminiscent of the Scala dei Turchi. Fine sand, calm sea and beautiful limestone cliffs make for a perfect day at the beach. You can lay out on one of the two organized sections or on one of the mini beaches between the cliffs.
The Sea Caves near Ayia Napa offer breathtaking scenery. In addition to the stormy sea, caves all around the coast await you here. For the adventurous, there is the opportunity to climb down into one of the caves and explore it from the inside. The views you'll get are fabulous. But beware of particularly strong winds.
