Paphos

Paphos is the centre of the western part of the island. It often stands in the shadow of Larnaca, which lies close to Ayia Napa, where you will find the most beautiful beaches. Paphos may not offer turquoise beaches with shallow water, but it does offer plenty of experiences, natural beauty and sights.

Canyon Beach is located in Akamas National Park in the northwest of Cyprus. This makes it harder to reach and unknown to most visitors of Cyprus. It is a true hidden gem that few people know about.

The Monastery of Saint Neophyte the Closed is one of the most important spiritual sites in Cyprus. This monastery is unique in that it was founded in the 12th century by the hermit Saint Neophytos himself, who lived in a remote cave carved out of the rock, now known as Enkleistra.

Paphos, a historic town in Cyprus, is famous for its ancient monuments, such as the Tombs of the Kings, the Archaeological Park with its mosaics, and the beautiful sea views that attract tourists from all over the world.

Coral Beach offers fine sand, crystal clear water and a gently sloping seabed, making it ideal for families and swimmers alike. The beach is less crowded than those on the east coast and provides great opportunities for quiet relaxation and water sports.

Avakas Gorge is a dramatic canyon carved out of limestone cliffs that takes you into the heart of Akamas nature. And while Cyprus is mostly about beautiful beaches, you should definitely make a stop at Avakas Gorge. You won't regret it.

On the west coast in Akamas National Park is the beautiful Blue Lagoon beach. It does not offer a beach in the traditional sense. You lie variously on rocks or small stretches of black sand. The lagoon is known for its incredibly clean and clear water.

Akamas National Park is not only home to the magical Blue Lagoon. There's so much more. Many visitors make the mistake of visiting only the Blue Lagoon by boat and only seeing Akamas from the sea.

White River Beach is located on the west coast of Cyprus, a short walk from the famous Coral Beach. It is one of the quieter and less visited beaches, offering the beauty of nature and tranquillity away from the crowds. The beach is characterised by its towers of pebbles created by visitors. There are thousands of them!
