Sidari Beach

The beach in the north of the island, next to which is the Canal d'Amour, offers a long sandy coastline, plenty of bars and restaurants, umbrella rentals and water sports.

The beach is surrounded by a promenade where you can find everything. From shops to bars, restaurants and pastry shops. It's the perfect place for a family holiday with small children when you need to have everything within easy reach. The calm surface and the gradual entrance to the sea create ideal conditions for the little ones.

The beach is connected to the capital by bus, but also offers plenty of parking spaces for those who decide to take a car.

What's around?

Sidari Beach is a great spot if you're looking to spend your holiday in one place and want to relax on the calm sea, sand and enjoy a few local attractions that are easily accessible by foot or a quick car or boat ride away. The Canal d'Amour is right next to the beach. Just a five-minute drive away is the gorgeous Apotripiti Beach. It's not as developed as some other spots, but the views are incredible. You can also take a boat trip to see Cape Drastis, which is about 10 minutes away.

Cons

We were not impressed by Sidari beach at all. Compared to the other beaches, it didn't have clear water, it looked dirty and was not interesting. If you have a car and are looking for the most beautiful places, just go check out the Canal d'Amour and head elsewhere. The beach is one of the most famous probably just because of its easy accessibility and the large number of accommodations.
