If you're looking for a long, sandy beach in the southeast of the island, Issos Beach is the perfect spot! A gradual entrance to the sea, soft, golden sand, and beautiful sand dunes in the background that you can climb – not to mention a fantastic water bouncy castle for children – make this beach an absolute paradise for families with children! Even though there are loads of sun loungers and all the facilities you could need, the beach is still semi-empty in the summer, so you'll have plenty of space to relax.

Porto Timοni is a double beach on the west coast. You can get here either by boat or by a 40-minute hike that leads from the town of Afionas over one hill. It is the hike, however, that will offer you a spectacular view that is often on postcards because of its beauty. The beach is full of underwater life, but pebbly, with turquoise water.

Corfu is loved not only by today's tourists, but also by the Austrian Empress Sissi, who had the Achilleion Palace built here. The central theme was Greek mythology, especially the stories of Achilles. She spent a large part of her life here, and no wonder. The view from the palace gardens is still enchanting today.

Day trips to Paxos and Antipaxos can be purchased in each town from a local travel agency. The standard price is 40€ per adult on a boat for 50 people. The boats depart in the morning and return in the evening and you will have a full day at sea. You'll explore the incredible sea caves and relax on the most beautiful beaches.

The small, unorganized bay of Apotripiti offers fine sand, calm sea, limestone cliffs and spectacular views. Swimmers can swim to the limestone formation that rises in the sea a short distance from the beach, which adds to the overall beauty of the place. The advantage is easy accessibility.

Cape Drastis is famous for its magnificent cliffs, rock formations and panoramic views of the Ionian Sea. The rugged coastline is dotted with small coves, caves and natural arches. To see this splendor you need to take a boat trip or go to a lookout point.

The incredible Angelokastro, the castle of the angels, dates back to the 13th century and, although it is more or less in ruins, its strategic location remains. It sits high on a hill and offers absolutely breathtaking views of the whole surrounding area, including the gorgeous Paleokastritsa area. And right below the castle is the incredible Kastelli beach, which you can only reach by boat.
